Hehe, I wonder if they feed on stray pods also since they are smaller.

We stopped feeding a few weeks ago and the growth rate stay'd steady. All of our lords look mad/starved and deflated but the micros look better than ever.

Man it would be nice to no have to feed every other day, that was my one beef with lords!

I didn't feed my first lord for over a year. It still grew from 5 polyps to at least 30+ polyps in that time. Had I known the growth would have been twice as much, I would have fed them.

Now, sometimes I don't feed them for a couple weeks at a time. I notice they inflate a little better when they are fed more.

My micro feeds on Mysis and Brine and has shown very good growth in the 8 months I've had it.

Bugsy, that is some fast growth.

Do these guys work like SPS does as far as generations of frags, where each frag generation from the wild colony seems to do better in the aquarium, and grows faster?

I would have to say yes, once all of the coral was actually grown in your system it has a tendency to get really comfortable. These little buggers are first gen so it'll be interesting to see what they do in a few months.

It seems like if you give them room they wil grow like nuts =)

Great pics, everyone. I hope to contribute here soon, once my lords craving is satisfied.

It's tough starting from scratch.

Peace,

Chip

Is there any other way to start? If so I didn't know about it.
Secret, don't get a girlfriend that isn't a reefer, otherwise you won't have as much money for the reef.

Ya the Ak 47 and M16 name really makes me laugh. At least most names have something to do with color or growth those names have nothing to do with those corals.
