I was thinking about putting in a 10K on the side of my Crocea, I have it about 12" from the light right now. Here are a couple pics of the Crocea's placement.

I had a crocea about that far away from a 150 watt 20K xde. The clam did great. Grew lots of new shell and was very healthy. I also fed it lots of phyto, though.

I think you're fine with where you have it.

I feed my tank phyto twice a week. Did you target feed because I just dump it in. I have been using Reef Chili and the corals seem to be responding well to it.

I dumped it in and also turned off the pumps and squirted it toward the clam with a turkey baster once in awhile.

is it just me, the lights are too blue for your clam. it will go dulll on you if its a bright color clam under blue lighting.

been there, done that.

rmesola, there can not be too much light.

like mbbuna stated, all less does not matter if the correct spectrum is not given to them.

I light my clam tank with a 250 DE 14 k AC its par is basicly the same as a 250 DE ushio....clams love it...and I have a shallow tank also 13inches deep with a 2 inch sand bed...
