Funny mantis-sitting story

My wife and I went out of town for the weekend, and her mother volunteered to stop by and feed the fish. We have three tanks -- 46 gal reef, 120 gal fish-only, and a 20 gal with two damsels and Thumper, my four-inch peacock mantis.

Now, mom-in-law knew that there was "something" in the tank other than the two damsels, but hadn't seen it. We didn't worry about having her feed Thumper, it was only three days. Well, apparently Thumper was hungry, and came out of her PVC cave in a hurry when the damsels got their food.

In the words of my mom-in-law, she was "attacked" by a "huge alien creature". She was so startled that she screamed, fell over backwards, and wet herself (a little).

LMFAO!

Thumper 1, mother-in-law 0.

Once she regained her composure, she went for another look and decided Thumper was "pretty". We all had a good laugh.
