Glue help

What glue do I use to glue acrylic together that I can get at like lows or homedepot? I'm making a small cube tank and need to know what type of glue to use? Also what should I clean the edges with before I glue?

you won't find any glue that will hold well enough to acrylic at lowes or home depot. the glue you need is weld-on. search the yellow pages for plastic or acrylic shops around you as they may have it.

You don't glue acrylic, you chemically bond it forming one piece. To properly prepare it you should mask the flat portions with tape and then lightly scuff it and any other contact edges with sand paper. Use furniture clamps to hold it in place and then run a second bead along the seam for a permanent and water tight seal.

Your best bet is to find a local shop that sells acrylic/plastics.
