As a fellow male, that's how I read your statement too.

Les, I hope the drugs are helping! You were really sick and it will probably take a couple of days for you to start feeling a little better. Suck that soup down - even if you think it stinks and has questionable parts. (Oh don't even start!)

Chili - Airborne rules! And guess what?! OMG - one of my kids has strep throat! Who's next? Ding, ding, ding!

Vitamins, sleep, alcohol(for the Irish and French) and may you stay healthy!

Hiya everyone. My throat still feels like I've swallowed a bail of barbed wire, but at least the fever has stayed down. I'm hoping I'll feel even better in the morning. I've been eating lots of soup: clam chowder, chicken and noddle (complete with beaks and feet), and beef and barley (gotta love that methane producing, reef-killing beef).

Wheat's great Debi! Last time I made rolls was last Thanksgiving. They looked gorgeous, but they tasted nasty.

poor baby, strep sucks! Haven't had it for awhile now. Pat had it one time only and he was so sick he lost 15 pounds. My daughter and I were never that sick, but we got it 2-4 times every year.

He probably is thinking the more he whines (typical actions for a sick male BTW), the more cookies Debi will send him.

LOL, Debi, you sound like my mom. When she and my dad come to visit me, my mom always has to plan the meals in advance. Heck, in the past, she'd bring the groceries with her, but I've finally broke her of that habit--it was too darned annoying having to carry in all their luggage, plus a trunk full of groceries. My mom used to come cook for me when she visited, now, she likes to lay on my couch and just tell me what she wants me to make. That's ok, I figure she's earned a break, plus her cooking just isn't what it used to be. Don't tell her I said that!

LOL, I usually bring a cooking gadget for him. His kitchen is as well set up as mine. If he can't make it to the store, we'll go before we stop at his place. I rarely leave the kitchen unless we hit a movie. I just love cooking for people. He's got new roommates this year. Hope they like chicken. Enchiladas are his favorite so that's always first.

Oh yeah we feel for you! You have to come here for food! My sisters send me a menu before they come! I think I'm being used! Even my friends kids call me up to tell me what they want. Of course I know what they will be asking for. One wants pizza and spaghetti, the other wants fruit salad and chili verde! What would you like?

Les, if I had the time I would drive up and try and cook for you

God, right after my surgery my parent would come over, tons of groceries, Mom would start cleaning. Sorta made me feel guilty for laying on my bum.
