new randall's shrimp goby. i ditn do the best job of acclimating, and the fish was at the store for at least a week, but it was perfectly happy and healthy from the moment i put it in the tank. even got in a cave and started guarding it within hours. i accidentally scared him back into the cave, though, so i havent seen him for a little while. i was scared he might have gone carpet surfing, but i didnt see him out of the tank. its really hard to see him when hes in his hiding spot. ill get better pictures later. this one kind of sucks.

also, i got macro in my fuge, and some nice pocillopora, a. samoensis, and two types of stags, Acropora spp., also, i dont always love M. Capricornis, but i got a really nice green piece that i am stoked with.

Do you have a pistol shrimp? Are you going to name it after an appliance?

Nope...don't know edward.

Yay the hurricane did almost nothing! We just lost power in my neck of the woods for a day. That's it!

However, pray for the ppl the hurricane did affect.

VICTORYYYYYYYY

Hall 1 - 0 Glastonbury

HUGE win today. Hardest team we've faced this year. The only team better will probably be Wethersfield, and I'd say we're evenly matched with them.

4-0-1 holla

[08:00 PM - Tuesday, September 27, 2005] Billy Farinon: Is it ok for me to fun my corals under hot water to get the brown algae stuff off?

Yes, he got a reef, much to my protest. At 3 days old, he's already got acros. Brown acros, though theys tarted oiut green. The lack of powerheads led to a buildup for distoms on their surface. Si sad...

It continues...

[08:01 PM - Tuesday, September 27, 2005] FalsePerc: Are you serious?
[08:02 PM - Tuesday, September 27, 2005] Billy Farinon: why do they get dirty so quick? I cleaned them yesterday and they were dirty again today

Poor corals.

Oh gosh ER was busy today... I restocked the 20 rooms that they have with ~ 140-200 bedsheets, 200 towels, 200-300 small towels, 100 gowns, and 140-200 pillowcases. Then I had to replace all the stuff that I restocked from the supply cart by getting it from the supply room. Surpisingly I didn't have to clean up any rooms today. There was this one patient that asked me how much I get paid for it... Volunteering is fun.

I'd prefer if everyone referred to me as "Captain Tyler, Secretary of Internal Affairs, Prince Extraordinaire" from now on.
See you're on board with Findamentals too Ryan. Sweet

Positions are wide open for people with the skills we need. Coral Identification is luckily not one of them, as I'm pretty sure one of our employees might be able to accurately tell one acro from another.

I found out why my snails were disappearing and why every single shell ended up in a pile in front of one rock. Thought it was a mantis or a flow issue, but, apparantly, one little guy (4") from eons ago (Kayla would remember) left his rear end behind. Once again, I am aazed at how easy these "uncatchables" are to catch. I just used tweezers and yanked all 15" of him out, no problems.

that is nasty...some kind of polychaete?

getting a true and accurate acro I.D. is pretty tough, unless you are willing to bleach a branch so you can examine the septal cycles inside the corallite.
