I am pretty sure she is one 14. She was born April of 1990.

I suck at math, so someone correct me if I am wrong.

April of 2005 has already passed, thus she is 15.

September 22, 2005 is approximately (seeing as how number of days in a month can vary) 15 years, 5 months and one week after April 15, 1990.

Mike - I have jewel fry that left the female's mouth yesterday - how long would you wait to take the parents out?

same thing for labs except they are still in the mouth

Jewels are usually good parents. Are these lifalilli or what now passes as simballa?

Try finding a better pg-13 pic of Blalock and I'll acknowledge that... Oh yeah, look for Jolene Blalock, not Dr. Blalock (the guy that made a breakthrough in treating trauma, etc.).

Her face is very ugly, but she has a nice body. Isn't there a name for that.... something like butterface?

Guts are usually decent parents. Let them have the first batch. If they eat 'em, I assure you they'll mate again, as they're rather promiscuous.

Labs are incredible parents. Just make sure no synos are present.

A bit young, hard to tell at that age (nuchal features are usually what gives it away). If I were to hazard a guess, I'dsay a standard casuarius.

Glad to assist. It's refreshing to talk about cichlids every once and a while.

Mike - That picture is actually a 3" male.

This isn't my first batch of Jewel babies, I was just wondering what you thought.

As for the labs, I'm currently trying to get the mom out of my 120 because along with their being too many fish that would love some live food, I have three syno multi's.

As for the jewels, recently their eggs have become a meal for one of the pleco's with them. I think it was the Leporacanthicus galaxias, he doesn't seem so innocent and I moved him after I saw the eggs. This time, the eggs hatched.

Ah, good to hear you found the culprit. Dobn't move the brooding lab, she'll likely lose her clutch. Wait until next time or chance it now, your choice.

GLASTONBURY TOMORROW GET PUMPED

Ain't no way they can stop me now Nelly
Cause I'm on my way, I can feel my ring comin
It's the blood of a champion, pumpin
Deep inside my veins, too much pride to be runnin
I'ma get what I can and more, even if
My blood, my sweat, and my tears don't mean nothin
It's the heart of a champion (it's the heart of me)
(It's the heart of a..) in me
