It's the only cable company in the area. The town next to us by about 5 miles only has comcast cable and they aren't much better.

Good luck getting completely rid of AOL...when you cancel, make sure yaou get that confirmation number! Their customer service is not that great.
That stinks about the cable company.....

Yeah it was. It took forever to get my money back and for someone who lives from paycheck to paycheck, that isn't good. I also had to get a new debit card number which just opened up another can of worms

Actually, I did get rid of AOL!!! It took awhile to get to talk to a real person. She started asking me all kinds of stupid ?s including my Mom's passwords which of course I didn't know. She then asked me where my Mom went to High School. That's when I lost it and started crying. I really wasn't crying but she didn't know that. I got the confirmation letter a couple of days later.

I am still waiting for Charter to call. I might just have to go to the office in town and pitch a fit.
