80 is IMO ok, 82 is a bit high, 84 is definitely bad. JMO

yeah, i figure with another fan and the photoperiod being much shorter it should be fine. at least i dont have any fish in there yet. also, there's a chance the thermometer is wrong. it doesn't feel 86.

i like the first week so far... there was a kid at lunch sleeping in a bush in the court yard. People hid his bookbag, and tossed food on him, it was hilarious!
In my freshman year there was a druggie who was always too stoned to stay awake in class, so one day someone drew a crazy mustache and gave him a unibrow with black permanent marker. I think they cut his hair too (taking advantage of the fact that the teacher was rather oblivious). When the bell rang, he got up and walked around like nothing had happened, but eveyone who passed by was dying laughing. I don't think he figured out what was so funny for another three periods.

The moral of this story...don't do drugs.

Well, when I was a sophomore that one Ruskie in AP Euro History fell asleep in 3rd period. I had my class 5th period and he was still fast asleep when I got there, and our teacher absolutely foribid us to talk or wake him up... Suposedly he woke up around 5pm

It still hasn't really sunk in that I'm a sophmore yet (btw, I'm typing this at a computer in my school's library).

So what classes are you guys and gals taking this year?

Here are mine:

1. Calculus 3 ---> basically geometry and calculating volume using integrals

2. Basic Differential Equations (Hon.) ---> not really sure but calc 1 or 2 was required so it shouldnt be too bad

3. Physics with Calculus + lab ---> just like AP Physics in high school plus calculus - duh

4. Abnormal Psychology ---> exactly what it sounds like and should be fun

Welcome to RC. You're a year and a day older than me (random). Do you have any tanks currently?

Regular PE, but im thinking about track.
Regular geometry
Bio
basic computers (just to get it out of the way)
spanish 5-6
regular english

im happy because every year ive been in advanced english and math, this year should be easier.

seoulcityskin, if you need help, i am just about to add fish and coral to my 90. 9 months in the making. I had so many problems along the way, but now it is so well finetuned. a few tips are, 1) invest in MH (metal halide.) its a little more expensive, but totally worth it. sps and clams can survive without it, but the spectrum and brightness is so amazing, and eventually, it will be less expensive than fluorescents. also, you dont have to buy 90 # of LR. i did, but thats because i bought 44 lb.s and my dad, without telling me bought another case as a graduation present. get half the LR you want to end up with, and then add the same amount of base rock.

Last year, my Honor’s English class was devoted to British Literature and it was my favorite year of English. Have fun with Jonathon Swift’s, A Modest Proposal it’s a great satire.

English 11 H - I don't know what this class focuses on. We also don't have AP English until senior year.

Possibly writing? Well, I was supposed to take AP/IB English this year, but due to a scheduling conflict, I'm stuck in a senior Honors class. Hey, it was either that or take junior American Lit again, lol.
