I didn't really make those curtains...you see..there is this killer liquidation place up the road and they have like EVERYTHING...so those curtains you see in the kitchen window (the short ones) were 2 84 x 84 tab top curtains (Martha Stewart)... I got them for $8.99!!!

I took both curtains and cut them off and sewed a seam/hem on the short ones with the longer tab tops in the kitchen sink window and then the longer one with the short tabs, I made the tabs for those and sewed a seam/hem on the bottom!

The kitchen sink ones are hanging on a curtain rod that is up behind this wood thing that sticks out (you see the 3 canvases that are on the top? Latte, Espresso and Coffee (I painted those!!)

Then, instead of buying 16 mathcing wooden buttons, I bought 14 1" wooden disks and painted them brown and then painted 2 black dots on them to make them look like buttons! I had to buy more disks today to put 2 more on the longer curtain since I was 2 short.

Yes, Tanya has been quite the Becky Home-Ec(ie) (that's what I call myself when I'm feeling domestic). Personally, Tanya, if I were you, I'd hold off on getting a job....speaking as someone who hasn't worked a "real job" in years, they're entirely over-rated. Of course, I'm also speaking as someone who hasn't had a real income in years either.

Ok....this damn cat is just mean! My poor Korean neighbor....Singe got him good last night, and his left arm is covered in a mass of bloody scratches. Also, Singe thinks that the lint/cat hair remover is just a toy, so whenever I finish cleaning up all the cat hair off of the black couches, he jumps back on them to leave me more hairs. And now, he has taken to jumping up and "pouncing" my tank. The fish aren't even phased by it anymore, but it's really annoying to hear random cat howlings and *thumps* throughout the day/night. Seriously, where did the Humane Society get this cat? Had to be from some Indian Burial Ground Pet Store (South Park reference).

I want to say no, that I broke him of that bad habit, but the scars on my arms tell a different story.

Youch....I know that feeling! I told you of my evil Siamese but forgot to mention how she used to jump ON MY FACE when I was sleeping. Man, I hated that cat!

Yeah, it's funny, when I first posted pics of Singe and a thread about bringing him home, people were like, "wow, pretty cat, I have a Siamese too." It wasn't until I posted "Help, my Cat is a Pyscho," that the same people started confessing similar problems with their Siamese.

Ok, he just tried to bite me again. I swear, I keep on threatening to pop him in the microwave, but he never takes my threats seriously.

Hmmm...I'm beginning to think that they all come from the same supplier. So, what is everyone up to this weekend?

I went to a bon voyage party last night because one of my best friends here is leaving town and moving to Paris for a year (at least) to work on her dissertation.

So, what's going on in your neck of the woods?

Ya, I know but he is the only 1 I met. House hunting for a friend is hard work. My sister is looking to buy another house. We went with her 1 afternoon. I won't do that again.
