What height to mount a Carbon Monoxide detector?

I tried to call the customer service number, but it was busy.

SO...

With winter coming on and having a furnace that uses propane as back-up heat, I bought a carbon monoxide detector.

Where's the best place to mount it, high or low?

I'm thinking that CO is heavier than air and stays low so I should mount this thing low, like a foot off the floor or so, but maybe I'm confused?

What's the best height?
