 No retailers in my area have them, it'll probably be a month or two.

Just bought one today from a fellow employee. He has had it for about 6 months but has only played it 3 times. Got the whole system 3 controllers, 8 games, 3 downloaded games all for the reasonable price of $300.00.

Seems like the most common place to find them is Ebay [so I've found].
Wish I could find one local ... but might end up caving to `easy to find' instead if none show up in the next month here.

I don't trust ebay for stuff like this, not to mention the fact that they're still selling at $50 over retail. I guess I'm patient enough to spend that $50 on games instead of blowing it just to have the console a month early.

Totally agree, though having a pregnant wife who would rather I stay home and play Wii [with her] vs. go out anywhere means that `now' is worth a price-premium.
We'll see how far into the doghouse I get, to see how much I'll pay to stay home every single night instead

If you do get one on eBay or something, post up the seller's name, the total price (including shipping), and the shipping time!

Will do.
Some friends of ours got theirs that way ... probably will track down the same seller from them as they were quite happy. Still ... going to be checking a lot locally. Definitely prefer that.
