FS - EuroReef CS6-1 + mods in Fresno, CA
Hi all,
My buddy tacocat is calling me a skimmer... street walker? Can I say that on RC? So - time to sell a few. First up - EuroReef CS6-1 This guy is located in Fresno, California, USA, Earth. I used this on my 140G for about a year now, maybe a bit longer. I dunno, ever since the housing market took a dump. But that is another story, and I digress. I bought it nearly-new many moons back and it sat in my garage for a while before I actually used it. Let's say $220 shipped & insured via FedEx or UPS. It's a big shipping item. Here she be. The two mods I added were a water level indicator and an expensive gate valve to control said water level. For the water level indicator, I bent a piece of acrylic, glued it to the side of the skimmer, then drilled through both while simultaneously praying to tacocat's gods that it wouldn't shatter. Unfortunately for tacocat, it did not shatter and he did not get his giggles for the day. A little bit of splintering though as can be seen in this shot: The impeller is pitted. It never ever ever once ceased on me, but thought I'd share because if I were on the receiving end, I'd have wanted to know: The needle wheel itself is in pretty good shape. I didn't see a single missing needle. But you can have a looksies too: It is now all boxed up and ready to go, just needs a destination: FedEx or UPS is going to call this 13 lbs, for realsies: But knowing them, they'll dim-weight me for more. Laf. So - who wants it? I can ship it out tomorrow if you pay up by 2pm PST! Cya, -Who Dah?

I think the formula for dim is
L x W x H divided by 250 = dim weight. (In inches) may be wrong....

Heya Kensington,
Looks like the factor is 194 for FedEx. If you punch in some numbers and click calculate, it states that it's 194: http://www.fedex.com/cgi-bin/crg_dim...ountry_code=us UPS: http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/res...im_weight.html This guy is 31" x 12" x 12" so 23 lbs for FedEx. UPS looks like they won't Dim Weight it as the in^3 comes in under 5184. Interesting...
