Hope you don't mind a nine month old shot. I'd get a new one but corals are way overgrown into the front of the glass so I can't clean it.

Type of ballast with the Xm10k also would help.

Icecap electronic ballast. For the VHO I used the workhorse ballasts.

Do you run gfo on this system?

Its a good idea to have a refrence sample for alk test kits. 1.1350 grams of baking soda in 1gallon of distilled water=10dkh. Check your alkalinity test kit!

Nope. Only run a calcium reactor. My growth has been crazy. My green slimer is now twice as big and the caps are into the front glass. I only have a skimmer and a calcium reactor. I also don't run carbon except once a year for about 2 weeks.(If I even remember)
