I am thinking of getting their MH/T5 hood in 60"
I have the Aquactinics 36" 6xt5 setup over a 45G. I bought it about 6 months ago. It is a very sturdy, well made hood. The fans are very quiet. I don't think you can buy a more solidly built hood!

Did they custom make that for you? I only say 5 bulb 36inch fixtures on their site.

You're right! It is 5x39w T5. Typed 6 by mistake. I am in planning stages of setting up a 180G and still undecided on lighting. Would like to get the MH/T5 fixture but husband wants a canopy over tank(even though this is my tank!). He is the one who builds my stands.

I am looking to get the Aquactinics TX5 unit in 48" for my 55g....what bulbs would you recommend for the best look and the best light for growing some softies (zoos, shrooms, etc) and maybe a coupla corals?
