b-ionic how often

I started using b-ionic a couple of weeks ago - i have been dosing everyday as it says in the directions on the bottles. Does everyone dose daily? Do you still use kalk as well and if so how often?

Thanks in advance...

PS. I don't have a CA reactor.

I would let your test kit be your guide. Could be trouble if you add it with already elevated CA/ALK levels. You wouldn't eat of if you weren't hungry would you?

B-Ionic is to be dosed daily. Set your targets for alk and calcium. Then test for several days in a row to determine your tank's daily uptake of both calcium and alk. You want to determine how much you need to dose on a daily basis to maintain your targeted alk and calcium level. Once you determine your tank's daily uptake, use this calculator to determine how much you need to dose each day. (click on "traditional"):

That's a recipe for disaster!!
Don't dose what you don't test!!!

you can't dose it blindly, you are just asking for trouble. you must test and then use the calculator posted above to keep the parameters in check
