randy Anybody use phospure+zeolite and carbon from doctors Foster
Anybody use phospure+zeolite and carbon from doctors Foster and Smith. I know zeovit uses zeolites to reduce ammonia. I know that they use zeolites in freshwater tanks. Have a 220 gallon sps tank with 75 gallon sump, I use rowa and phosban but I am wondering if this phospure+ is any good. I think the zeolites would bring out the colors in the acros even more. Please give me some input. can this be used inreef system Thanks guys

I would continue using a GFO for phosphate removal.
Ammonia is kept in check by a good running tank that is not overstocked or overfed and there are much better carbons out there to consume organics. I don't much care for these combination products that claim to do many things like bringing out colors etc. If you keep good water chemistry and exercise good husbandry, your tank should be fine. |

I do not believe that most zeolites provide any useful chemical removal from seawater.

Zeolites don't work in salt water for NH3 removal.
