Good game, Kentucky, good game

At least we can say we lost to a ranked team though
A team that, until last week was ranked in the top 10...

good game though either way you look at it...Kentucky played a good game to get back into it after it looked like they were out and brought LSU down with a fight. Did you see all the players getting knocked around out there? a very physical game that took 3 OT's to decide the outcome...

I still like our chances of getting to the N.C. game- we're down, but not out

I'd be shocked if LSU fell any farther than 5th.

Right now Cal has a dog fight on their hands with oregon state. OS had the top rated run defense in the nation going in an Cal started a green QB. LSU could wake up tomorrow to number 2 or 3 in the BCS poll/

When do the BCS polls start posting? I thought it was later in the season.

On a side note, remember how screwey they were until late in the season? I still suspect that is by design and I fully expect to see the same things again this year.

I think the first BCS poll comes out tomorrow.

I wouldn't assume Ohio State will be #1. They have played an awfully easy schedule so far. They will be 1 in the human polls but the BCS, who knows.

All-barn pulled it out 'gainst the Hogs.
Oh well I'm off to bed, Bama won no matter how ugley it was, (I know questionable call on the out of bounds but "it" happens)

once again for the umpteenth time in a row louisville had our number. At least we had the longest win streak in the NCAA for about 2 hours!

Yeah, I was fairly disappointed after that game. If he hadn't kicked that kickoff out of bounds, it might've stayed in our favor. Hell of a defensive matchup, tho.

What a year in the PAC 10. Middle of the season and you have -

UCLA - playing a third-string, walk-on quarterback for over 3
quarters (and who is going to start next week?),

Cal starting a second-string, freshman quarterback,

USC starting a second string, first-college-game quarterback,

Stanford starting a first year quarterback,

Washington, first year freshman quarterback,

Oregon State, first year, red-shirt freshman quarterback.

What a mess! No wonder there are consistency issues!

You have to feel for the Cal QB. He made a bonehead play that cost his team the sure tie, and with all the momentum in Cal's corner, they probably would have won the game and the #1 ranking. How would you like to show up on campus and be the guy who cost your team the #1 ranking in the nation?

Kevin

Yeah, and if the NC game were tomorrow, it'd be Ohio State versus Boston College, with USF waiting in the wings to cry about how they were overlooked. You'd have to wonder whatever happened to "the best teams in the country".....

Why in the world feel for the QB, feel for the coach for trying to get too darn greedy.

Nothin to do with getting greedy. They had time to take a shot. QB just cracked under the pressure.

Not a whole lot to argue about in the coaches poll other than how fickle the voters are. South Carolina has to hang on to beat 2-5 North Carolina and they move up 4 places??? That was absurd. Other than that Cal got dropped a little too far and South florida and BC are still overrated.

While i enjoy our Number 1 ranking we haven't earned it, Ohio States next 5 games will really determine what we're made off.

I felt soo bad for the Cal Qb though cause thats gonna stick for the rest of his life!!

and Rug we'll see cause last year almost everyone thought Osu would beat up on Florida

Are they seriously going to put Kansas ahead of Florida? Give me a break. These BSC polls are soooooooo screwed up. South Florida number 2? Please....I bet if LSU played SF it would be bad for South Florida. And again OSU is number one.

This year is definately the year of upsets however these upsets definately puts the playoff system in perspective like last year just in a different way. If a team proves they can beat other top 5 and 10 teams in an elimation round than in my true opinion they deserve to be number one. I think I might cry if OSU eithers plays BC or SF in the title game because those three teams are definately not the best teams in the country. We need a playoff system like the NFL!

The QB choked and the coach went for the TD win. I would have played it safe considering that a first time QB was running the show and kick the FG for the tie.

I wouldnt judge Osu till they get through the meat of their schedule Granted right now we are overrated at #1

but yea id even go as far as to say that Kentucky would roll over SF

You might want to review the scores of the games Kansas has played so far. Aside from Kansas State they have outscored their opponents 272 to 33 so far. Yeah they haven't played anyone but Kansas State but they are consistanly winning like they should. They beat state (who throttled Texas) 30-24.
