My understanding is that the Fusion paint by Krylon is perfectly safe to use. I've just finished painting my PVC return pipe with it and really like the results.

I used it on the PVC in my 125....The tank was up and running for 2 years with no issues other then the paint coming off. Not sure why....

svb57, you used it inside the aquarium right? did the fish eat the flakes that came off?

I did use it inside the tank......I never say any "flakes" coming off. All I saw over a period of months was the white of the PVC. I think, and only a guess, that snails or crabs were picking off "stuff" that was on the paint and the paint was coming off with it. However, I never say any issues with the tank (SPS, LPS, and fish).

When I set up my 300g I did not go the route of painting the PCV. I went with Loc-line instead. Only because of the issue of the "black" painted PVC not lasting.

if its inside the tank, it will get covered with coralline algae quickly.

Fusion has been used by many with no effects.
