Algae blooms

I have a 6 month old 50g reef and at the moment I have been getting a lot of brown algae on my sand, rocks and glass. Even though I have snails, a foxface and a sea cucumber it is not going away. Is this a normal bloom that new tanks get or is there a problem. I did a water change about 9 days ago and I am doing one soon. any help is greatley appreciated.

It's a diatom bloom. It's a normal stage of the cycle, it will go away on its own. If it starts to darken and hang around it's cyano and you can search from there.
