Adding Fish

Hi everyone. I have a 50g and 2 clown fish. I am going to get 1 blue tang, 1 foxface and maby 1 lawn mower blennie. I know that the blue tang and foxface will get too big and I am going to sell them, and buy them small.

My LFS has just got a huge shipment of Blue Tangs in and they say that they will probebly not get to many more in for the rest of the year. Is it going to be ok to add the blue tang before the foxface??? Or should I wait until they get a foxface, and about a week later get a blue tang, OR should I add them at the same time???

Your help is appreciated

I have a foxface and a blue tang and both got along fine. I also have two clowns. I haven't seen either show any aggression towards any of the tank mates. The foxface has grown a lot in four months and the body on it is big (thick as well as long) and might not be happy on a smaller tank for long, along with producing a good amount of bio load. The tang died of ich. From my experience and what I've read of others, I'll always QT a tang before putting it in the main tank.

I would rethink getting the Tang and Foxface for a 50 gallon tank, because when they do get to big for the tank, which will be alot sooner than you'd think, you probably won't be able to get them out without breaking down the tank.

My tang is getting kinda big. Can they be trapped easily? Maybe catch him at night?

Well if you try to catch him at night, then he has to spend the night in a plastic bag! think about that.
