Dispar and Bartlet Anthias in same tank?
I have a Dispar Anthias (male) in my 50 Gal SPS dominant reef. He's doign great and eatting well. I POrdered a Bartlet Anthias because I have seen people mix them on the boards, or so I thought. I just read somewhere that thay may not mix well. Anyone have experience here with these two?

I believe that they do co-exist in the wild but in a small tank your asking for the Bartletts to kill your Dispar. I have had both in my tank but mine is a 220 and even then the male Bartletts killed the male Dispar.

they will be fine. They school in the hundreds in christmas island. I would use the specimen cup technique to intro the bartlett.
I would also suggest maybe getting a few more dispars or bartletts to disperse any aggression that may occur.

So. it looks like a 60/40 split giving that the thumbs up vote recommended careful aclimation. Anyone else care to swing the balance either way?

I agree with Zemuron, get maybe one more dispar before the bartlett to disperse the aggression.Although three anthias is pushing it for a 50g.,I still think its the best course of action.I have bartletts and dispars in my 210 with absolutely no aggression between the two.
