Flat polished edges?

I'm making a diy aquarium and the tank will be built on top of the bottom pane. I was thinking that it doesn't need to be flat polished edges because it will be sitting on foam and will have a wood trim covering it up? what you think? this might just be a silly question but when money is in short supply...yadda...yadda....yadda

You don't need a flat polish on those edges.

I asked the glass people to put a flat polish on the eurobracing or edges I come in contact with.
