Hey guys i have a kent maxima RODI unit, i believe its the 24 gpd version. I think its about time i change out most/all of the filters in there.

This is the my unit at home.

What do i need to replace and where do i buy it online? I've never replaced these before so im kinda new, and dont know exactly what i need to get.

They look kinda brown.. You can find them from Kent. All 4 might need replacing. The unit should have come with a wrench to unscrew the clear canister. Take out the old, put in the new and re-screw!! Also if you find the sizes you need from Kent, you could probably find knock off ones on ebay with the same micron rating.

I buy all my filter from wateranywhere.com How old is that unit. I would change all of them. Like stated above that is a little to brown for me.

The first one looks like a 5000 micron filter. It looks like it's stuffed with yarn.

http://www.buckeyefieldsupply.com/ is a sponsor here that specializes in RO/DI filtration and is very helpful in answering questions. If you posted in his sponsor forum I'm sure he would tell you exactly which filters you need. That said, you should probably replace at least the sediment and carbon prefilters. The RO membrane should last a few years. And a TDS meter would tell you when to replace the final DI cartridge.

The unit is pretty old, i would say 7-8 years used on and off. The TDS from it is quite high so its about time i get around to replacing all the filters.

From the look of those prefilters they need to be changed. DI resin looks like it has changed color.

Can you give me a tds reading of your tap water, RO water? DI water?

Are you on well water?

City water?

Pressure?

YEOW! 6 or 7 years old and you've not changed the filters?

No need to report your tds measurements requested above - let's wipe the slate clean and start over.

Remove all the filters from the system, including the RO.

Follow the instructions below to santize the system.

Tell me about your water supply - well? city?

Pressure?
