Will my Lighting work for a Bulb Anemone?
36 Inch Compact Flourescent and Lunar Blue-Moon-Glow LED Light Fixture...
1 96 Watt True Actinic 03 Blue 1 96 Watt 10,000K Daylight 2 3/4 Watt Lunar Blue-Moon-Glow LED Lamp (Which are really for my benefit.) In other words: 192 Watts over a 30 Gallon Long |

I would not get a bulb. Too sensitive for a beginner. Try a condy first. And they are cheaper also.
Your lighting may be fine for the first couple of months. But after a while, He will starve. Your lighting compared to the sun is like a candle. And most anemones require full sunlight. I would guess they live in shallow water on the reef. So dont do it.imo. Metal halides are recommended for anemones.

Its a good idea to have a refrence sample for alk test kits. 1.1350 grams of baking soda in 1gallon of distilled water=10dkh. Check your alkalinity test kit! |

i dont know, i think bubbles have been easier to take care of IME. mine have always moved around less, and its a pain in the butt to have to remove an anemone once its got its foot in a rock. i had an RBTA under 80w of pc, i wouldnt recommend using that little light, but it did work. i think if you can keep it up as close to the lights as possible and feed it its worth a shot. IMO, you should be ok with a BTA. The 30 gallon long is not too high.
Water quality/stability is the more important factor. Just make sure he finds a nice spot and stops moving around. If you see it walking all over the tank, then something is wrong with your water quality, lights and/or water flow. |
