CAL & Alk

Hello all ~
I was just wondering if Calcium & alkalinity additives are needed in a soft coral tank ?I am keeping mushrooms, xenia, leathers, zoos.
I am using reef soluition wich adds iodine, strontium, mag, trace elemints ,vitamins & etc.

Yes, I would test and add as needed both calcium and alkalinity. It is good for overall water quality, coralline algae growth, and even your soft corals use some for their spicules.

if you do weekly water changes, most softy tanks will be fine with a quality salt and no additives. however, test to make sure that your ca/alk demands don't vary to greatly.
