CAL & Alk
Hello all ~
I was just wondering if Calcium & alkalinity additives are needed in a soft coral tank ?I am keeping mushrooms,xenia,leathers,zoos. I am using reef soluition wich adds iodine, strontium, mag,trace elemints ,vitamins & etc. Thanks ~

Yes, I would test and add as needed both calcium and alkalinity. It is good for overall water quality, coralline algae growth, and even your soft corals use some for their spicules.

I guess it works ?? If not I wast about $10 month on this stuff .I use one capful a day ~

if you do weekly water changes, most softy tanks will be fine with a quality salt and no additives. however, test to make sure that your ca/alk demands don't vary to greatly.
