How can I do this...?

Ok so my question is, can you use an external return pump without drilling sump? I really want to upgrade my return pump but getting the sump drilled isn't an option right now. Thank you

One way would be to build a small stand for the pump to rest on then adding a piece of PVC to the input with a 90 degree elbow and another piece glued to the 90. Thats one way to do it im sure theres others out there also but not sure of what they are.
Hope that helps.

Here is a post I've made on the "over the top method" used it on 2 out of 3 sumps -- been running for years.
