what i have accomplished today

and it's just noon...i raked up all of the leaves around the house and carried them all off into the woods. i raked up about a half acre of sunflower hulls under all of the bird feeders. i soaked/cleaned/refilled all of the bird feeders. i hauled some limbs down to the burn pile where we'll have a big bonfire in the spring.

gary would be SOOOO proud of me...over the last few months, all of my shepherd's rods have become crooked because the moles tear up the ground so i went around and straightened every single one of them. i even used gary's level.

when i got all done with that ^, i went to the cemetery, raked the dirt over gary's grave and got it all nice and level, cleaned up the rest of the old flowers and then i put a shepherd's rod next to where he lays and hung some wind chimes. i can't wait till spring when i can plant some bulbs and some grass. it's such a pretty spot and i intend to make it even prettier.

Good job, Nina. Have some hot chocolate and put your feet up.

We had a surprise snowfall here: it's due to snow all week, and was supposed to be half an inch last night.

It was four inches. With more coming. I think the snow delivery people sent us the load meant for Mt. Spokane.

I got out of bed a 10:30am today. So far, all I did was put a batch of brownies into the oven. They're not scratch, but the next best thing: Ghirardelli Triple Chocolate.

Anyone proud of me?

So far this morning I got out of bed at 4AM, kinda goofed off/kept myself busy/did a water change until my brother got out of bed at 9AM, then went down to our friends' house and had Sunday breakfast. And now I just got home .

I AM GONNA HURT YOU IT WON'T BE PRETTY AND NO I AM NOT PROUD OF YOU!!!!!

so, i got gary's chainsaw out and i whacked on some tree branches that have been down since the ice storm of '07 and gary's 2 nephews took pity on me because i guess they think a WOMAN can't handle a CHAINSAW and i guess it's probably a good thing they rescued me before i cut my arm off.

i groomed both dogs, picked up a wheelbarrow load of horse doodoo, combed out manes and tails on all 3 horses, dragged the truck bed mat outside and swept the llama (now rebel) barn out and dragged the truck bed mat back inside ohhh my aching back and now i'm gonna sit and crochet for 5 minutes until i something ELSE that needs to be done.

Damn, Nina...all I accomplished so far today was getting out of bed at noon and sit on my butt. I'm ready for a nap. This flu I picked up at Christmas is still whooping me. Hold it, I did accomplish something--I played with my new camera....does that count?

All I did today was bleach the kitchen counters and smoke a rack of ribs. I'm sooo lazy.
