If you want to breed them your going to need a much bigger tank.

Yes they are Epaulettes I have 3 of them one male and 2 females, they are much bigger now.No eggs yet but I am pretty sure they need to be a bit bigger yet befor they are mature enough to breed ,the shark book says about 28-32 inches for sexual maturity mine are very close. The male tries but still to young.

I forgot to ask, what size tank are they in? Looks pretty monstrous considering those sharks are around 30".

The tank is actully only a 100g,they will be moved into my 300 cube wich is posted in a different thread.I am ordering a new 300 for those fish and some of them will be divide up into a 125 to thin the population out in the new 300.

Scott Michael's aquarium sharks and rays says maturity is reached from 20-22 inches. Nice sharks I can't wait to see them in there new home.

I planned on getting her a boyfriend. I just want to wait until my pond is finished, that way I won't over-bioload my 75g. I'll definitely be breeding them!

Thanks for the compliments.

sharks

Hello,

I have been into saltwater tanks for many years and have always wanted to set-up a shark tank. Can one of you direct me to some good sources of info. I am looking to care for a bamboo shark (the lfs has an egg for sale). I have heard that getting them started may be tricky...any advice?
Out of curiosity, what tankmates are suitable with sharks?
And, BTW, beautiful animals you all have. Good job in being able to care for them.
Thanks,
Rafael

Anything other than Angels, Triggers, and Puffers will do fairly good with elasmobranchs, although, there will always be that special fish that will turn on you.

Out of the 13 sharks owned on this thread the largest tank is a 125. I don't think that is taking care of them. I know everyone is in the process of getting a larger tank. I'm in the process of flooding my basement and putting viewing panels in all the floors. So i know how it is. Good luck, but before you buy an animal you should be able to take care of it for it whole life.

I am closing on my house in the next few weeks and plan on building a nice large pond once we get settled in.
