Help choosing equipment for r. tank
I have a few ?'s maybe someone can help me with.
1st it this light fixture any good and what would it be rated at good -- ok --- fair ? I was looking at the 48" 6-54w T5 fixture. $309.oo http://www.reefgeek.com/lighting/T5...Light_Fixtures/ Aww i want to grow to be able to grow anything, But I really dont want MH's if anything i will wait till my bank builds back up and maybe add A 400W mh pendant and run it for and hr or so a day but I want the T5's as my primary light source. 2nd Would a Coralife Super Skimmer that says up to 220gals which im sure it only does around 180-200gals.On a 120 would it do or should I look for something better. LFS list for $209.oo. 3rd If there is anything else I should get when I start up please feel free to let me know. I am not new to s. water but new to the reef thing. I took my 220 LR & Fish setup down 6 months ago and I am in the process of setting it up as a african cichlid tank now. ANY!!!!! advise would be GREATLY appreciated !!!!! As you can see I dont know much about reefs but I am tring to learn and tring to do it right the FIRST!! time around if possible. PLEASE feel free to comment. I will be setting my 120gal up, it is 60"x18"x26". |

That link doesn't work. If you want a T5 setup, the Aquactinics get good reviews.
I wouldn't trust the CoraLife on that size tank. I'd go for a Euro-Reef, but ASM, Deltec, and H&S also get good reviews.

Tank is 26" tall? You need to be looking at a 6 lamp Ice Cap retro mounted in a canopy or hit www.aquariumspecialty.com and gt an Aquactinics solar flare. Other than that a couple of 250 watt halides are your other option.
