LTA hurt at base

Hi.

Bought an LTA (doreensiis) a couple of days ago. The first night i saw something i didnt in the store. It had a tear in the base a couple of centimeters above the foot. Looked like some of its internals was hanging out from the hole. Whats the chance i can get it healed and thriving?

Dont wanna stress it more by moving it back to the fishstore for replacement if its a reasonable chance i can get it to recover.

Wish i saw it in the store and got an healthy specimen from the start tho..

Any pics? If the anemone is otherwise healthy and your tank conditions are very good, I would say the chances are very good that the anemone can recover.

[welcome]

Yes, a picture would be very helpful.

I have had a couple of LTAs that had damage to the foot/base and neither one was able to make a recovery. Not saying that yours is a goner, but I personally wouldn't have my hopes up too high. But, I would give it the chance to recover, just keep an eye on them. Granted mine had "holes" at the very bottom, which is worse. Here are a couple pictures of them that didn't make it.
