As you already know you have a great looking tank. I have been searching for people with some good experience with angels and it would seem I came to the right spot. I recently tried to combine a 1 1/2" koran angel with a 2 inch emperor angel in a 120 gal. At first the koran was dominating then the EMP but then the EMP began to hold his own, but the hippo tang joined sides with the koran and I had to take the EMP out before his demise. I did add them at the same time. Luckily I have a 50 gal reef tank hooked up on the same sump and I put the EMP in there for now but with corals it wont be ok for long. Any ideas aside from moving rocks and turning lights off? Any help would be greatly appreciated I would love to find a way to keep both angels. I also just added a 2 inch V lionfish to my 120.

I don't see a juvi emp and a juvi koran getting along. They are way to similar. One has to be in the adult formation for this to even have a chance at working. You could try to divide the tank in half with eggcrate and see if they will get used to each other without fighting. I would look into getting another angel. I kept a juvi emperor with a juvi queen. Both were the best of buds, I tried adding a larger gray angel, and the emperor didn't like him at all.

See I am new to the large angels, and I was givin some bad info. I had done my research and read that the two would not get along. I had some reliable resources tell me that if I did them at the same time there would be no problem. So now I'm stuck, I have two very beautiful angels that I would like to keep. I really like the EMP now cause he nearly died, he got ick and wasnt eating and was very skinny, now I got him eating and he is doing very well. Rock and a hard place I guess.

What are the dimensions of your tank? What DPS said is true they will probalbly never get along,I would pick your fav of the 2 and keep that one.A 120 is on the small side for 2 angels,my 300 is small for 3 angels,I will be dividing them up soon.I would keep the Emp as they are much more striking in appearence than the Koran in adult colors (just my oppinion).I f you do keep the emperror just keep in mind he will be the boss of the tank in given time.Good luck

The tank is 5ft long 26" Tall and 18" wide. I was thinking of doing the egg crate idea. I'm just so torn between the two, I just never see adult Koran angels which is why I got him, on the other hand the EMP is just beautiful.

I would pick one of the 2 and go with that if you want to ad another angel later on just make sur it look differnt than the one you keep.If you keep the Emp and add another angel later just make sure it is bigger than the Emp by a decent amount as they get really aggresive once they are established.JMO,Good luck Chris
