My new CBB
Ok I know that some people might disagree with me putting a CBB in a reef tank but I have seen this done. I hand picked my fish from the LFS yesterday. He is a peaceful guy about medium to large size. I went over him with a fine tooth comb and he is healthy as can be. He even eat frozen food at the LFS... As soon as I put him in my 90 gallon with no other fish just corals he started hunting in all the rock looking for anything he could eat. He has not touched a coral and I have my figures crossed since I mainly have SPS. I tryed feeding him frozen brine shrimp today soaked in garlic but he did not touch it. Do you guys think since he was eating it at the LFS that he will eat again in time??? Is there anything I can do besides keep him full to make sure he will not touch any of my corals???

Go to your local grocery store and get 3/4 live clams, keep them on a plate in your fridge. Split them open with a broad knife and with a pair of fine nosed scissors cut and shred the meat inside. Place in tank and watch your CBB go nuts over it.
I've had my CBB for about 6 months now and she/he loves clams, as do every other fish in the tank. MGB |

those that feed clams to their cbb's, do you have any other live clams in your tanks? i'm asking because my cbb hasn't gone after my clam yet, but i'm afraid to start feeding frozen clams-thinking he'll get a taste for the nice big live one on the sandbed.

CBB=Copper Band Butterfly?
I had one for a while, she ate frozen mysis, bloodworms, flake, cockles, and prepared Angel Formula. |

CBB
My father has had a CBB for at least 3 years now. He originally got it because he had aptasia and the fish took care of those things.
Great fish but it only eats frozen, live foods or aptasia of course. |
