I study all of those pics, looking at the corners, wiring, rust (ha ha) and see where I could possibly improve. The aluminum ducting could be pvc or that cloth the use in greenhouses.

if you look hard in the first pic of the last three you can see the temp, inside temps still reaching triple digit and the chiller is still strokin away. no matter how hot the sun gets the chiller cools it

Now I know they can actually go that high. I hope I never see it in person though.

I'll post a picture of my outdoor thermometer the next time it hits -40.

Is that a homemade wavemaker? I've been toying with an idea that is much smaller in scale but should work for larger applications such as yours. I'm guessing the downfall of yours was the electric motor?

If you're looking for reliable motors Humidifier motors are good for applications around aquariums. They're somewhat water resistant and they are designed to run continually, unlike many electric motors.

They're 24 volts, so they're safe to use around water. Home Depot sells them pretty cheap. The ones up here in Canada carry the "Wait" line, but I would guess you have another source in the US.

Its the wave2k in action. I had four running in the sps vat. They really rock the tank but unfortunatly they suffer from mechanical failure about every 3 months. I got tired of working on them and went to tunzes and seaswirls
