Many times your local fish shop will sell you a few pretty cheap or if you want to get a bulk supply of bags buy them on ebay. They are commonly called "poly bags" I use bags with a thickness of at least 2-3 mils or more to be safe and often triple bag for shipping. 5x12 or somewhere in that neighborhood seems to be a pretty good size for frags, but I would not go shorter or it can be difficult to close the bags.

I posted this somewhere else, but all my bags I get from the local IGA markets meat dept, they are heavy bags, will hold 5-10lbs grnd beef, double bagged they would be good to ship overseas.

I pay 10 cents each, usually get 25-40 at a time. Havent had a leaker yet. They are probably heavier then I need, but I'm not concerned about that.

You can go to uline.com and get any size/mil bag you want in 1000 count boxes. I personally like th 5x12 size for shipping frags, and 3mil thick bags so they won't break and still can be tied up. I have some 5 mil bags, and they are hard to twist tie or rubberband. HTH
