I ordered mine from Savko. I'm not sure if I paid more or less than what's available locally.

is the spa flex tubing the tubing that looks like a vacuum hose?

if so - i already have that, and water falling down it from my HOB overflow makes more noise than I want (noise I believe is from the water flowing over the ridges)

I'm hoping that flexpvc, which has a smooth interior will minimize this noise.

It is smooth on the inside.

I checked local shops and could not find it, they only carried smaller size flex. Bought mine from Savco as well, there are some price drops when you buy certain number of feet do not recall what they were.

Josh.
Spa tubing looks like PVC, installs just like PVC but comes on a roll and you purchase by the foot. You can heat it up with a heat gun and bend it any way you want. I used it to go thru my wall down to my sump in the basement

I was just talking to some one about this and he was telling me that you needed to use a glue made for flex pipe not just regular pvc glue ,what do you think ?

regular PVC glue (cement) works just fine. I did clean, primed the ends good - I have never had any problems...

Same here. I got mine at Lowes; they have 1in and 1.5in. FYI Homedepot doesnt carry it.

The regular PVC glue will work, I did use it myself awhile ago, but it is not really meant for the flex PVC. The flexibility of it can cause some issues over time if the PVC is shifting, vibrating, or what not. I am TOLD what happens is the glue is meant for a rigid surface and will eventually weaken. There is specialty glue for flex PVC that will not have this issue. Personally I do not think that would really benefit many of us that much. We are not MOVING the PVC much, just using it for bends and then leaving it in place forever basically.

Just a sign of how the normal glue is not the right stuff, when I pulled that piping down I was able to rip apart the flex PVC from the pieces I had glued it to. It was not poorly done or such to begin with either, and I sure cannot rip apart any of my normal PVC work.
