flow for a 75.

im just setting up a 75g tank.
at the moment im planning on using my OR 2500 as a CL pump. attached to a squid. that will run over the top of the tank. with 2 outelts at either end of the tank.

+ the return from the sump with a rio 1100 pump. will this be enough flow ?? or should i have a return in the bottom of the tank ?( its a 26" deep tank )

What are you going to be keeping in the tank??
Are you saying the return pump is a Rio 1100? Or you plan to run that in the tank along with the return pump?
The OR 2500 is only 630gph, then acount for head loss and the 20%+ you'll be loosing running it through a squid...............Thats just not much flow, least not for a 75. Your gonna need at least one good PH depending on what you plan to keep???? I would go with a couple of Koralia 3's or a 3 and a 4.

hmm. going for mostly sps, but a mix overall. i was aiming not to have any powerheads in the tank. i think there so ugly.

the rio 1100 is the return from the sump
and the OR 2500 is the CL pump.

any ideas as to what i could use for flow ?? a 2nd closed loop maybe ?
