Do large Angelfish pick on SPS??
Well as you know my question is that if large angelfish eat SPS or harm them? Also is it all marine angelfish or some angelfish that eat SPS? I was wondering if anyone had experience with this.
The reason i am asking this question is b/c i'm thinking of changing my 80G angelfish/softy tank to a 80G angelfish/SPS tank. |

I had a large 10 inch emp that ATE sps. He would eat the new growth off the tips. LOL This is not made up! I would never believe it till i seen it.
Plus your 80gal is too small for large angels. Better to stick with with dwarfs.

Large angels and SPS are hit or miss. I feel you are overstocked for a 80 gallon, and your tank is to small.
You will also have a problem with large of bioload and SPS.. Better stay with what works.. |

This is the first time you have experienced the angel and tang police!!!
My first tank when I was sixteen, a 60 gallon with six tangs and a shark , with a cpr bak pak for a skimmer, wasnt good, no one means any harm, just looking out for the well being of the fish |

I thought I answered your questions... I wouldn't put a large small or medium Angel in my tank. To hard to get out, but in a small 80 you might be able to take all the rock out to remove them.
You already have 6 large fish and more?? In your 80 I still think that's to many.. You will want to take care in stocking to many fish with SPS.. Go ahead and try it, report back with your findings... mAthu, thanks for the master part... I'm no where near that, I keep learning everyday. This can be the most rewarding hobby, or your worst nightmare.. It's taken me over 20 years in reefs to get here, and more money than I can account for... I think the key is, Patience, time, knowledge, and resources aka money seems like something always comes up JazZero, you can have your thread back, thanks. Happy Reefing |

Like paul stated we are looking out for you and the fish.
You asked a question on a public forum, Youre gonna get stuff ya dont like, and if youre bothered by it then you should not post questions. You have 6 large angels in an 80 gallon, I am surprised you didnt get people lighting ya up like a christmas tree.

I think it has a lot to do with the size of the tank and the amount of feedings you give them. \ Well I guess it hit or miss/
I here regal anglefish are a good choice Michael
