My LPS Dominated Tank Pics

Hello-
I haven't posted my ever-changing tank pics in awhile. 44g Leemar starphire
glass, 175-20K MH w/2 65w actinic t-5's. Sumpless, skimmerless and reactorless.
Excuse my really bad photography - even though I have an excellent camera.

That might be the nicest small tank i've ever seen.
How long has it been running?

I'm just now setting up my 75 gallon reef, and intend to fill it primarily with LPS corals as you've done. Your tank looks wonderful! Do you have more closeup pics? What exactly do you have in there?

Very nice tank. I am planning to do similar setup.
-> Can you please give more info on maintance you do on this tank?
-> How often and how much do you do waterchanges?
-> What do you have for fish and inverts?
-> Do you have any algae issues?
-> Do you keep any macros?
-> Do you have any HOB filters to trap debris?
-> Do you add any additives?
-> Any other info would be helpful as well.

Hi All:

1) How often and how much do you do waterchanges?

I DO A 5% WATER CHANGE (CATALINA Pre-Made Water EVERY
COUPLE OF MONTHS.

2) What do you have for fish and inverts?

FISH- PURPLE TANG, PAIR OF TRUE PERCULA CLOWNS, BLUE CROMIS,
PAIR OF YELLOW ASSESSORS

INVERTS - A FEW CERITH SNAILS

3) Do you have any algae issues?

SURE JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE

4) Do you keep any macros?

WHAT ARE MACROS?

5) Do you have any HOB filters to trap debris?

NO

6) Do you add any additives?

I ADD A CAPFUL (5 mg) OF IDODINE, MAGNESIUM AND CALCIUM

7) I FEED THE TANK 4 - 5 TIMES A WEEK WITH A HOMEMADE RECEIPE
OF SHRIMP, SCALLOPS, NORI, FORM. 1, CYCLOPEEZ, ALGAE PASTE
AND THE KITCHEN SINK

8)Any other info would be helpful as well.

I SUBSCRIBE TO THE KISS (KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID) METHOD OF REEFKEEPING.
MOSTLY JUST LEAVE THE TANK ALONE (KEEP YOUR HANDS OUT OF THE TANK).
THERE IS NO NEED TO CONSTANTLY CHANGE THE ROCKS, CORALS, ETC.
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY IS TO GET YOUR WIFE/HUSBAND/SWEETHEART TO
SUPPORT YOU (NOT MONETARILY, ALTHOUGH THAT HELPS - BUT TO SHARE
YOUR ENTHUSIASUM). HTH Dennis

Is your tank located on a vortex of energy or something? =)

Was it always this nice or did it take 5 years to mature?
Was it always this minimal gear-wise?
