thanx all. that pic you posted chip as what i have been told is a micromussa....but the polyps are bigger than any acan lord polyp i have ever seen.

wow...thanx guys high praise indeed. some camera specs now follow.

camera-Fuji s602 zoom
3.1 mp with some simple magnifying lenses that screw onto an adapter.no underwater casing just clean glass and a good macro setting. this camera is a few years old but still works well and at a couple of hundred bucks it's well worth it.

a couple more shots.

can I ask what you paid for those? My LFS is selling colonys of around 20-30 polyps for around $450.

my camera is like 3-4 years old. you just have to get to know your camer and what it can do.

mummra100769 - awesome pictures and Acans !! Can you share how you keep these Acan happy? My LFS said that they are feeding Acan 3 times a week, in low flow, and low light condition.

high flow but all indirect...i run 2x250w MH and 3 VHO on my 37 gal cube. i also rarely feed mine.

NOT SO HAPPY ACANS!!!

so i had this unknown lps drop from it's perch yesterday and land on a couple of my acans. this is a problem as thing kills everything it touches. i will post some pics of the damage and some full tank shots tonight. thank god these acans grow fast. here is a pic of the offender.



i used to call him a lobo but then he fell on my lobo and tore him up. i am locking him down with epoxy tonight as he is too dangerous.
