Red Slime on Corals How to remove/clean

I have a brain and hammer coral --- both of the corals were doing fine however red slime is actually growing on the fleshy part orf the Brain coral (T. Geoffryi) and on the skeletal base of the hammer. The strange thing is I have very few diatoms (brown) or red slime on anything else ---- in other words this is not like a large algal bloom just on the two corals ---- the question is how do you clean a coral particularly the fleshy polyps without damaging it any suggestions???

I would do that...take a turkey baster and blow onto the affected areas on the coral, increasing the amount of pressure, as necessary to do your best to get the red slime off the coral. Then I would also increase the flow in the tank using some good powerheads like Sieos, particularly over the areas where these two corals are located in the tank. The fact that red slime is forming on them is a tipoff that there might not be sufficient water flow in those areas, while the flow may well be adequate in other areas of the tank.
