Aquactinics TX5 or ATI powermodule 4 or 6 bulb
I'm looking into lights to convert my 55 to a reef. I already decided I want T5HO, but I don't know what fixture I want yet. I narrowed it down to 2 (technically 3) fixtures. I don't know whether to get the Aquatinics TX5 or the ATI Powermodule 4 or 6 bulb. What would be the pros and cons to each? The ATI is more expensive, and I don't know if I want to pay the money for the 6 bulb (~800 incl bulbs), but I hear these are the best on the market. I guess if I go up into that price range I should consider Aquactinic's Solar Flare as well.
Thanks in advance for the help. |

The solar flare with the ice cap ballasts is awesome, built in moon lighting and a 660 and a 430 ballast, your are going to overdrive the t-5 bulbs for more par. I am seriously thinking about this fixture and ditching all my metal halides.

You also posted this in the Aquactinics sponsor thread. Anything made by Aquactinics is going to be awesome, but can you even get the ATI Powermodule in the USA?

I'd get the Powermodule, it's a better looking light fixture with a clean look to it.
