My acro

I picked up this acro yesterday. Anyone have an idea on the species? I think it has really cool coloration.

First pic is through the glass, the rest are top-down.

Nice pick. It looks like a tabling A.hyacinthus to me. Beautiful color.

Lol anyone agree on any of those? I took out probably about 1/2 of the caulerpa today. I don't wanna get rid of all of it because it will bring my NO3 and PO4 up.

Just be careful. At best caulerpa can overgrow/smother corals...at worst I've read that its holdfasts actually can eat through coral skeleton

Yeah. I agree keep it out of the display, it will take over. Do you have a sump or fuge? I would put some chaetomorpa in there.

At my local LFS yesterday, I asked for "CHAY-to," and I was corrected...I was told to pronounce it "kee-AY-to" or "kay-EE-to" (one of those).

Adding it to the list of so many things I've missed pronounced like "nudibranches." I thought it was, well, "NOO-dee-branch" not "NOO-di-bronk."

Don't have a Fuge. I've thought about putting one on, but might upgrade soon and don't wanna take the time if I'm just gonna tear it down.

Any more guesses of the species?

It's Latin, so it's kee-toe.

Nudibranch is NOO-dih-brangk. Look it it up in a dictionary.

By the way, real scientists say uh-CROP-o-ra, so what do they know?
