ASM mini-g pump shuts off

I recently bought an ASM mini g skimmer. It seems to work fine, but every 10-15 minutes the pump stops. It completely stops for a couple minutes then comes back on. Nothing is bothering the plug and I have tried several outlets throughout the house. My first one did this and I thought it was a problem with the pump so I exchanged it, but this one is doing it too.
