starting a nanotank

ok first off, im new to saltwater aquariums and ive got a 3 day old, 14 gallon nanotank that ive started up with the help of my friend. now i know its way too early to start adding fish and stuff, but i was wondering: is it possible to add 2 different types of clownfish that will live together peacefully? if so what two types would u guys suggest? and any suggestions on starting up my nano tank? anything helpful would be appreciated, thanks

Never, ever, under any circumstances, for any reason, mix clownfish species. As for acceptable clown species for your tank stick to the True or False Percula or the Skunk types, anything else (Marroon, Cinnamon, Tomato, Clarki will be to big and aggressive).

you could put the two clowns in and maybe a shrimp/gobie pair.

If you keep on top of your water changes a pair of clowns and maybe something small would work.

I would pick from the following:

Firefish (Purple or Red)
Yellow Watchman Goby
High Fin Red Banded Goby
Clown Goby
Tangaroa Goby
Greenbanded Goby
Longspine Cardinalfish
Pajama Cardinalfish
Orange Stripped Cardinalfish

www.liveaquaria.com has info on all of these fish, that's a great website for pictures and info.

Have you tested you water yet? Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and SG all have to be tested. If you are going to keep corals I'd check for phosphate, alk, calcium, and mag as well.

That's perfect. Use this article to find out the rest when it comes to parameters.
