UltraLux™ HD Commercial High Bay
Came across this while searching the net for Metal Halide lighting. Looks interesting. Wonder if it would be possible to turn into a diy project.
http://www.fullspectrumsolutions.com...ommercial.html * Patented BlueMax™ Color Technology * Increased usable light over HID & other T5's * Highest CRI of 96+ at 5900K CCT * 60% energy savings over metal halide * 40% return on investment annually * 20% more efficient than competing T5's * Easy install/replacement process * Bulbs included - no extra charge! * UL and cUL listed * 25yr fixture, 5yr ballast, & 2yr bulb warranty for the total system Doubt its the correct spectrum for aquarium lighting.. |

With a kelvin rating of 5900K, that will make your tank look **** yellow. You'll have to replace the bulbs as soon as you get it.
It seems to me that its just a fixture with an electronic ballast... can't tell if it is NO or HO bulbs. Not worth $200+ to get a ballast and some endcaps (that aren't waterproof by the way which could be a problem depending on the humidity in your canopy)

Those are T6HO basicly the same as T5HO but less lamp choice.
the fixture look cheap $ wise, probably China designed.
