Zoanthid Spider Bite!!!!!

I got bit by one of these things on my finger. Am I in danger? Are they posionous? I got bit about 4 hours ago and it hurt a bit, but i am not in any pain right now. It looks a bit swelled up and red but nothing major.

Please let me know any information you guys can.

Me either. I had a bunch of these things a few months back and never got bitten. Are you sure it was a spider?

It really doesnt look that bad. Just a little sore now... No pics yet. I will take some if it gets any worse. I talked to Mitch at wet wet media dot com. He said i will be fine and they are not poisonous. He told me to be careful that it does not get infected. I could not find much info at all about this. I will post agian tomorrow so people can find this in the future. Thanks all.

i would think you would be fine, but one thing that crossed my mind [not to worry you]

do you think its possible to have a spider bite into a zoa, get a bunch of paly toxin in its mouth and teeth, then bit into you and transfer the toxin to you?

i know paly toxin has been used on spears before as a weapon.

just a thought.

There are several threads on RC about them. Pictures are on zoaid.com. Wetwebmedia.com has several threads about them too.

I'm glad to hear it's looking OK!

Let us all know if you can now cast webs out of your wrists, OK?
