Like I said-good luck changing biology. Species don't change into other species (RPE's are Z. gigantus-the others you're calling blue are not, which would be obvious if you posted a picture of the undersides of the polyp). I'm not wasting another typed word here. You've already gotten more out of me over rediculous non sense than I should have allowed. Good luck with it. I can guarantee no one will back your claims because they are not possible...

Saying that superglue is responsible for changing a RPE into that other Zoanthid you have posted is akin to me saying my Purple Tang Turned into a Naso Tang overnight because I put him in an acrylic aquarium.

Do you have any pictures of the change? One that shows the original polyp changing colors over time and the frag increasing in size.

I too would like to see a picture progression of the color change.

No nothing zoomed in enough to make out that frag unfortunetly. I did try to get some underskirt pics tho. Theres no white marks like the rpe, but the underside is white also, there are some odd brown marks in irregular patterns on the underside of some polyps, but nothing as disctinct as the rpe white marks.

Exactly what was the time frame that this happened in?? Was it literally over night(like 12 hours) or a matter of days or weeks??

I believe the polyp was closed for at least 2-3 days, I thaught it was dead and payd no attention to it in that time, when I noticed the change it was about a week later.

Well your pictures have proven the argument against you. Those are not RPE's at all. They are not even the same species. You must have mounted a polyp you "thought" came from the RPE's but it is OBVIOUS that it did not.

Super glue DOES NOT cause frags to change species, and in my experience, and the experience of 95% of the people on this forum it has no affect on the frag at all. (other than making it stick to the rock!)

Congrats on circumventing many thousands of year of evolution in one night with the use of superglue!

yeh the marking on the outsides of the polyps show its two different species, obviously superglue cant make species evolve into another.lol You probably just got it mixed up with another frag.

I agree with the above.... even look at the polyp to the right of the rpe. Its seems to be the same and in the same spot in both pics.

worst. con. ever.

Sesriously though... colors aside, these two are not the same species. I'm not even sure your RPE's are true RPE's. I don't see the black around the mouth.

Why do I keep checking this thread??? For daily entertainment thats why. Not only is this a crazy notion but the facts are there. The frag disk isn't even the same. Not only did the zoas change color but a few died and they magically spread out! Anyways I suppose pointing out the problems with this "hoax" is useless but hey thanx for the many days of entertainment.

I think what he means is both frags are from the same polyps. I dont think he means that the same frag changed colors, he glued some lose polyps down and "thought" they had come from the same colony.
Seriously tho, yall have beat him up pretty good over this, he wont even come back to post.

Just because they come from the same rock doesn't mean it's the same zoanthids. I bought rocks with 2-3 different colors or species on them.
