Para oxy past after 4.5yrs.
I have a para oxy velvet damsel(4") that I've had for over four years and he stopped eating for two days.
This is by far the toughest fish I've ever had, including triggers, and I can't believe I found him upside down passed away. He made it through a tank crash and a heater electrocution. He is in with a 3" spotted hawk and a 16" snowflake. I am wondering if the hawk or the eel killed him. The hawk has spines missing on two of his dorsal fins. Water levels are better than fine. Any knowledgable replies welcome. Triggerman

Sorry to hear about your fish I would guess that barring evidence to the contrary, it died of natural causes. Four and a half years, through the traumas you mentioned, is really good for a fish. However, if you do suspect something killed him:
* Does the body have evidence of it? Punctures, torn scales, etc. * How long have the eel and hawk been with the damsel? If they've been coexisting peacefully for a while, I wouldn't think that there would be a sudden problem.
