Angry probably moving to NC

I really need your advies
I have a 29 g bowfront with 45 LB live rock 2" sandbed a false percula clown , cleaner shrimp and the useal clean up crew My tank is doing great I have a good coraline growd I have a Torch coral and some zoanthids
now they told my husband that they relocate him to North Carolina
what would be the best way to move my tank without have to start allover again
I'm living in Ohio now so it would be a 8 hours drive to NC

theres worst places to move to LOL. with only an 8 hour drive it shouldnt be to hard to keep everything alive. invest in a couple of those battery operated air pumps. then get some clean 5 gallon buckets (rinse them with water and bleach, no soap). i would put the fish and the inverts in one bucket with the air pump and air stone going. then put the corals in a bucket by themselves. then the LR in every how many buckets you need. of course fill the buckets pretty close to full with tank water. put the sand in a bucket as well. make sure to plan for new water as well. if you can pre-mix some thats best.

what part of NC are you moving to by the way?

I would say for that distance you should either trade your livestock to your LFS for dry stock, or ask them if they will hold them in a tank and ship them to you when you get set up and ready. I am in the Army and I have this arangment set up with my LFS for when I have to move again. Other than that get you some new sand, and try to transport as much water as you can (50% Min - 75% Great) with you. I have been told that if you packaged your live rock in wet news paper it would hold its cure for 1 to 2 days, but I dont know for sure. I would say to try to transport it in water. If you dont wont to go through a full cycle though I would say to use new sand. If you use your disturbed sand you will almost defently cycle the tank. You may have to do it any way, but its worth a try. If you wont to take the livestock with you I would say go to your LFS and have them bag them with air and then pack them in a cooled to maintain the temp. Good luck and hope this works out for you.
